Owned by Keir and Jack , two massive Twin Peaks fans, Ghost Papa is practically a portal to the Pacific Northwest. The shop floor itself is painted in the unmistakable black-and-white zig-zag pattern of the Black Lodge making it the perfect setting for an evening of Lynchian mysteries, music, maps and stories from the Pines.
Into the Pines is a lovingly researched map and guide to the strange, beautiful and sometimes uncanny places where David Lynch and Mark Frost’s cult series became reality.
From Twede’s Cafe , the real-life Double R Diner, to the Salish Lodge , better known to Twin Peaks fans as the Great Northern Hotel; from Ronette’s Bridge and the old mill buildings to the roads, forests and waterfalls of Washington’s Snoqualmie Valley , Into the Pines follows the trail into the landscapes that gave the series its unforgettable atmosphere.
For this special launch evening, Adam and Tree will talk with **Jack Goldstein ** about the origins of the guide and map, their years as devoted Twin Peaks fans with their cult video shop “TODAY IS BORING” in Shoreditch London and the many journeys they’ve made into the Pines themselves.
Expect stories, and the guide and map available to purchase, plus, naturally, coffee, cherry pie and donuts.
ABOUT THE GUIDE & MAP
Since it first aired in 1990, David Lynch and Mark Frost’s _ Twin Peaks _ has inspired a devoted worldwide following — with fans travelling from across the globe to seek out the real places behind the fictional town.
Written by devoted _ Twin Peaks _ fans Adam and Tree Carr, and designed by Beth Matthews, _ Into the Pines _ is a lovingly researched map and guide to the real-world landscapes of the series.
Follow the trail to Twede’s Cafe in North Bend, Washington — the real-life Double R Diner — and to Salish Lodge , perched above Snoqualmie Falls and immortalised as the Great Northern Hotel. Discover Ronette’s Bridge, the old mill buildings, the roads and forests of the Snoqualmie Valley, and the other strange, beautiful locations that Lynch transformed into one of the most atmospheric settings in television history.
The guide draws on Adam and Tree Carr’s first-hand research and years of devoted fandom. During their time running their cult video shop “ TODAY IS BORING” in London, the pair hosted Twin Peaks marathon screenings, immersing themselves in the series long before making repeated journeys to its real-world locations.
Part travel guide, part map, part love letter to the Pines, Into the Pines follows the trail into the forests, waterfalls, diners and dreamlike landscapes that made Twin Peaks unforgettable.
